Connections 2.5 Preview - Introducing the Lotus Connections Wiki

We are please to announce that Connections will include a wiki service. The wiki is a major service in Lotus Connections along with Profiles, Activities, Communities, Blogs, and Dogear. Anyone can create a new wiki space, which is a named, dedicated set of pages with their own administration settings and access control. In the wiki, you can collaboratively edit pages, view changes between versions of a page, and revert to previous versions. You can comment on pages and also rate them. We’ve made it very easy to add new pages as well. Right in the page navigation, you can simply click add new page, and you can easily create children pages right off the page you are on.While the wiki is available standalone, you can also create a wiki space right from a Connections Community, granting the same level of access as the Community’s membership list. Here you can see the Community home page with a wiki widget, showing the number of page hits, comments, and ratings as well as more information about the page (i.e. who last edited it, date edited, etc.). When you expand the full wiki page, you don’t lose the Community navigation on the left – it becomes available on the wiki page so you can quickly get back to the overview page or any of the other elements of the Community.
[I need to make a disclaimer here that anything shared in these blog entries is undergoing development and is subject to change! Do not consider these designs final in any way. They are current as of today but they may change. Also capabilities are always subject to change as well. I’ll be repeating this disclaimer over and over again. Sorry!]
