    Lotus Connections and Sharepoint Integration

Did you know that you can integrate Lotus Connections with Sharepoint?

CorasWorks has a solution for integration which you can learn more about here.  They provide a sample use case in the catalog entry - "An example of an integrated application is a Work Order Approval Process. It is used to process work orders with SharePoint with appropriate approvals, workflows and document control. However, the work orders require robust collaboration. Using the DI Toolset, you are able to extend each work order item to leverage the Activities application of Lotus Connections."

Using the Lotus Connections API, you can also add integration points between Lotus Connections and Sharepoint. Luis Benitez, the Lotus Social Software Technical Sales Guru and Enthusiast, shares some of the ways you can integrate Lotus Connections and Sharepoint in his blog and articles:
    • Connections Profile Card Blog Post: Add the Lotus Connections pop up profile Card to your Sharepoint instance, so that wherever a name is displayed in Sharepoint, the profile card can be displayed as well.
    • Card & LCS DeveloperWorks Article: More Connections Profile Card detail and how to integrate with Microsoft Live Communication Server for presence awareness.
    • A video demo of the above integration
    • Dogear integration Blog Post: How to add a Dogear This button to socially bookmark Sharepoint pages.
    • Blog Post on how to add a Sharepoint MySite to the Connections Business Card
